WHAT IS AN MRI?

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a noninvasive test that uses a magnetic field and radio frequency waves to produce detailed images of bone, soft tissues such as tendons, ligaments and muscles and other anatomical structures. MRI does not involve radiation, and is safe for most patients. MRI’s offer advanced medical imaging for most orthopedic diagnoses to assist your physician in determining your course of treatment.
